Job Description

On-site Technical Support

Location: Tokyo

 

Our client is an international law firm located in central Tokyo.

 

Purpose of the position

 

Improve the firm’s business efficiency and productivity and protect the firm’s data by providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software.

 

Job Description:

 

User support

  • Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
  • Tasks include the following:
  • Installing and configuring computer systems
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
  • Logging employee and attorney queries
  • Writing manuals/references/announcements
  • Setting up audio and video equipment in conference rooms
  • Managing and monitoring internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Generating reports for printer and copier usage

 

Project support

  • Back up other IT members in carrying out projects
  • Plan and work with local vendors as well as other IT teams in foreign offices. Arrange hardware delivery and placement

 

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (Candidate must be fluent in Japanese and have a business level proficiency in English.)

Working knowledge of the following:

  • Windows, Mac OS X, iOS
  • PC and Mac hardware, printers, scanners, computer peripherals, mobile devices (i.e., iOS and Blackberry)
  • File servers
  • IP Phone systems
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Customer service and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate technical information
  • 2 years+ experience working at a Help Desk
  • Friendly and team-oriented
  • Flexible mindset
  • Multitasking skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude
