Our client is looking for a seasoned system development and integration staff software engineer for video CPE (customer premises equipment) such as Set-Top-Box. Recognized as an advanced individual contributor, using professional concepts to investigate and help resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, to develop new CPE products for the Japanese market.
This individual will focus on system development and integration of internal and external 3rd party software components for a complex consumer electronics product within the PayTV industry. As such, the need for strong collaboration, analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to investigate issues at both the black-box library and source code level are essential.
As a system development and integration engineer, this individual will serve as a subject matter expert as it relates to internal development processes, the triaging of issues, and root cause analysis to identify where in the product an issue exists to support 3rd party vendors with resolutions.
The required programming language:
Required: C, C++, Embedded Linux Operating system
Preferred: HTML, JavaScript
Optional: ARM or another assembly language
